About the Troubadour

During the Middle Ages in Europe, troubadours sang songs of chivalry, courtly love, bravery, life and death, spreading news to people throughout towns and cities.

In the spirit of ancient troubadours, the Troubadour spreads the news to Newfoundland and Labrador youth. We are a provincial youth news organization run by the journalism students at the College of the North Atlantic in Stephenville, Newfoundland.

We publish a provincial newspaper three times per year. We also broadcast a local radio show, CHUG 740 AM, every Monday afternoon from 3:30 to 4:30 in the Stephenville area. The show is also available on our website.

The Troubadour Online is posted on Thursdays at 2:30 p.m.
